747 Bar and Grill: Comfort Food and Great Service in Houston

Flight got canceled so got stuck here with nowhere to go. The chicken steak fajita was surprisingly delicious. The chicken was a bit sus but the steak pieces were so tender! The sirloin steak was also done really well. The food came piping hot and we didn't have to wait too long.

So like many here, we were sent to the Double Tree due to a flight cancellation. But.... we probably had one of the best meals of the whole trip here at the 747. Burger was cooked to perfection, extremeley well presented, so taste and big! The wedge salad was perfect, super fresh with lots of blue cheese crumble. Even my son loved his grilled cheese (the sweet potato fries are the perfect add on) The service was perfect, so helpful, friendly and kind. Really special people. You could see the folks at the bar were having fun, but I cant confirm! haha.

Spending a night or two at the Doubletree Hotel? Well, when you’re done enjoying your freshly baked chocolate chip cookie head on down to the 747 Bar & Grill. Tonight I had the Cheeseburger with fries. Excellent. There was a little something for everyone on the menu. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. Thank you

Fernando was a great server, I have allergies and he assured me my food was allergy free and when I had doubts, he went and brought out the ingredients and allowed me to read it for myself. He went above and beyond, thanks Fernando, he deserves a raise!

I was staying at the Double Tree for a couple of days when I tried it out. Good food and good portions with friendly service. I had the patty melt, the chicken enchiladas and the chicken & steak fajitas.

I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions since 2024 when travelling on business. The restaurant has a very good menu with a good selection of dishes. You can also order food in the bar area. On my last visit I decided to try the New York strip steak. Boy was that tasty. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. All the dishes I have had have been very tasty.

Our bartender, Jenny, was AMAZING! Can't stop there though Rhonda, Gloria & Deborah all busted butt with smiles on there faces during one huge winter storm that canceled flights all over leaving the place packed! Also need to throw out a HUGE THANK YOU TO the Kitchen...I believe William was his name! Every meal we had there was AMAZING with my Favorites being the Salmon Avocado Salad & Steak Salads!!!

We had a wonderful dinner at 747 Bar & Grill. The bar had fun IPA and Bock choices on draft from local Karbach Brewing Company. Plenty of other choices also available from the bar. The food choices are great! We had the Steak quesadilla and Fish Wraps. Incredible! Loved every bite. Fernando was excellent and made sure we were well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place! We will go back anytime we are in the area. It is located in the Doubletree Hotel on JFK. Close to the airport and several hotels. We walked from the Hampton. Nice ambiance. Great food. Better service. Go!
